What to Expect From Our Protection Process
BEFORE YOUR Fiber Protection ServicE
Please watch our PREP VIDEO!
1. Please notify all people residing or working at the application location.
2. Please do not schedule any other service companies or work to be done in or around the location, especially landscaping personnel, as we will need to open many doors and windows for ventilation.
3. Please remove any personal belongings or loose items from the treatment area, such as valuables, clothing, blankets, toys, or electronics.
4. All items that will be protected should be clean or new. Please inform us of any pre-existing spots, stains, or soiled areas, as we may need to professionally clean them before our protection product can be applied.
5. Please ensure that we can open doors and windows during your protection service. Some spaces do not have that option, so please inform us beforehand so we can provide a solution before our arrival.
6. Please prohibit access of people and pets in and around the protection area during treatment.
7. Please restrict access or use of the protected items for at least 4 hours after completion. We recommend you wait a full 24 hours before general usage of the items, when possible.
8. Please inform us of any chemical sensitivities to isopropyl alcohol or mineral spirits, as these are the carrying agents in 2 of our protection products. We may need to use our water-based formula, which has absolutely no scent or odor.
DURING YOUR Fiber Protection service
1. When we arrive, we will assess the items to be protected and discuss the plan.
2. Please remain out of the protection area throughout the application process.
3. If we need to move the furniture around, we will take photos of the furniture placement.
4. We will need to open windows and sliding glass doors for ventilation, which can be closed after the application.
5. When the Fiber ProTector® application is complete, we will answer any questions and ensure that our work area is as clean and close to exactly the way we found it when we arrived.
AFTER YOUR Fiber Protection service
1. After your professional fiber protection service is complete, most of the protected items will be dry. Due to the very important curing process, we highly recommend that you wait 24 hours before usage. If need be, the protected items can be used 4 hours after completion. Since the items will not be fully cured for 24 hours, we recommend no food or drink in or around the area. For area rug protection, we recommend leaving all items off of the rug for at least 4 hours or 24 hours whenever possible.
2. Please leave doors and windows open until dusk and re-open in the morning if possible. The air movement will increase the rate of evaporation, drying the items faster.
3. We will leave you a free bottle of pH-neutral spotter that will not affect the Fiber ProTector® Protection.
